Your Professional/Academic Profile: I am founder of Precious Online, the first online magazine and network for women of colour to launch in the UK. www.preciousonline.co.uk.
Launching the magazine was a childhood ambition, when I was younger there weren't any magazines that featured girls that looked like me so I decided that when I 'grew up' I would launch my own.
The internet allowed me to follow my dream.

Precious now attracts over 80,000 unique visitors a month, holds networking events and conferences working with partners such as Pearson plc, The British Library and the London Chamber of Commerce.

In 2007 we launched The Precious Awards, which celebrate women of colour in business www.preciousawards.com.

I also do some writing and marketing for corporate clients focusing on a range of subjects including business and the arts.
