Driving Social Change - Bringing Success to the Heart of the Community

Hello Friend,

This may be of interest to you. I currently sit on the Diversity and Inclusion Board for London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games- London 2012 and they will be a hosting a positive action recruitment event for the BAME community on Tuesday 9 March in East London. It is an invitation only event so if you have any recommendations of people or organisations to help spread the word your help would be much appreciated.

If anyone was interested it would be great if they could email me back (bms247@hotmail.com) the attached sign-up sheet.

Warm Regards,

Barbara

Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people are an important and integral part of our workforce at the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games & Paralympic Games Limited (LOCOG). We would like to further increase the numbers of people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds working at LOCOG and need your help to do that.

We want to make sure that we maximise the pool of talented and skilled people available to contribute to staging the Games.

We will be holding a Career Day to encourage people from Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic communities these sections of the community to consider working for LOCOG.

This event will include:
• An introduction to LOCOG, who we are and what we stand for
• An overview of the roles coming up over the next year
• An overview of the recruitment process
• An opportunity to talk to Functional Areas
